    Hold it steady. Capture.

    Place a page under your iPad camera. Mokutori looks for a steady frame and waits for your hand to move away before taking a photo. Review the capture, or use the manual shutter.

    A clearer view of the page.

    Perspective correction runs on the device. Optional page-curl correction is experimental and off by default. Compare the result with the original, especially on curved pages.

    Read on the device.

    Japanese, Chinese and English OCR runs on your iPad. Review vertical text and difficult pages, and edit uncertain lines against the original.

    Connect your own agent.

    Set up your receiver, scan its QR code and confirm pairing on the receiver. Completed scans can then be sent automatically in batches of up to five pages. Your agent reads them when it runs its inbox command.

Your scans,
ready for your agent.

After pairing, completed scans can leave your iPad automatically as page images and OCR text. Run the receiver to fetch them, then ask your chosen agent to quote, organize or translate the content.

  • Check the receiving account and host, then confirm pairing on the receiver.
  • Translation, proofreading and ePub creation are tasks for your chosen agent. Their availability and results depend on that agent and your review.
